Workshop Details

Release tension, and feel soothed, centred and uplifted. Come home to yourself. Midlife and menopause can play havoc with your hormones so you feel you’re riding a rollercoaster of emotions: from dispirited and low, to pent up and irritable, or downright enraged! Gentle yogic movement, breathwork and meditation are wonderful tools to settle the nervous system, clear an over-stimulated, anxious & busy mind, and help you feel like yourself again. In this session, you’ll begin with some simple movements to lighten the load and slip off tension. Breathing practices will soothe, centre and uplift; and a closing meditation will connect you to your heart and guide you home.

Presenter Bio

Sian is a yoga and certified Just Breathe breath work and meditation teacher based in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, where she has been running her popular community classes for 6 years, as well as hosting events and retreats. Her teaching takes inspiration from Vinyasa and Forrest yoga, her dance and gymnastics background and the teachings of anatomy experts, to help her students move with energy, strength and grace. She is fascinated by the mind-body connection and the importance of regulating the nervous system, so her classes have the intention of balancing energy levels, reducing stress & tension and uplifting the spirit. Sian’s mantra is 'Shine Your Light': she believes everyone should be able to live life to their infinite potential and, in her experience, these wonderful wellbeing practices support you to do that. Sian has worked in wellbeing partnerships with companies such as Ikea and Miller Homes, and taught yoga to elite sporting organisations and charities.
